Message from our Managing Partner
March 8, 2010
It brings me great pleasure to write you today as CFO Seattle LLC continues to lead our market in partnering with our clients and helping them solve their most complex and significant business challenges. Over the past year we are honored to have been selected as the consulting firm of choice by a wide variety of companies in the Greater Puget Sound area.
And what a year it was – the cathartic change in our economy continued through 2009 and had a resounding effect on small to mid-market organizations. Our clients across all sectors consistently reported adverse pressure against their cash flow, receivables, and top line revenue. Sales pipelines and projections were showing indications of decline and tightening credit markets restricted access to valuable financial resources. We responded to the needs of our clients by developing timely and accurate visibility into key performance indicators and other metrics, established strategies to hedge against the recession and developed scenario and contingency planning models. By providing a clearer vision of historical data and forward looking assumptions and scenarios, our clients were able to have meaningful, transparent and realistic conversations with lenders, investors and other stakeholders about what the near and mid-term looked like.
Additionally, we encouraged our clients to leverage the benefits of the downturn by streamlining their internal processes and methodologies to build leaner, more efficient organizations. When paired with a strong strategic and financial roadmap and unprecedented innovation, they have reinvented themselves to gain a strong competitive advantage that will drive value having already crystallized what 2010 will look like to their organizations.
Our demonstrably superior value proposition continues to differentiate CFO Seattle when compared against our competitors. The Chief Financial Officer, while once an attractive career destination and prestigious senior management position, is no longer about being “good with numbers”. Today’s CFO must have a broad understanding of the wider issues that business faces and be a business partner to the CEO. At CFO Seattle, we approach every client engagement with this principal in mind.
So to that end, I wish you a prosperous 2010 and look forward to connecting with you soon. For more, please visit our website at www.cfoseattle.com. To contact me directly, please feel free to do so by emailing me at paul.kruglik@cfoseattle.com.
